Retro monster RPG visual novel ... with a twist! 

This year's theme was "Roles Reversed" and in You Chose Me, YOU play as the monster in a world where everyone wants to catch and train them! Choose your monster and fight in monster duels - but from a new perspective that impacts your strategy and choices.

GUIDE/GAMEPLAY HINTS (minor spoilers):

The combat is about predictive strategy - landing the right counter ability will increase your damage dealt, sometimes dramatically so. All monsters have three abilities: a basic or physical attack, an elemental or magic attack, and an evasion attack. 

Basic attacks will counter evasion attacks. Evasion attacks counter elemental attacks. There is no direct counter to basic attacks, so the best strategy is usually to use your own elemental attack (which has the highest base damage).

Each turn, the enemy Trainer will give a command to the monster for its next turn - use this cue to choose your own attack and land devastating counter attacks! 

Beware, however, of Trainers that can give commands to their monsters without speaking! You'll have to deduce which attack the monster is making from it's responses to the orders instead.
